Sometimes it’s hard not to be jaded in the wine and food industry.  People who work hard, pour their heart and soul into their businesses, and generally work with authenticity and integrity rarely catch a break in the ye of public opinion.  There is, after all, a lot of money to be made by buying and selling Good PR.

This is one more reason I was ecstatic to see one of my favorite LA  restaurants at the top of Esquire’s Best New Restaurant list.  Score one for the little guys… and for everyone who loves a little Italian authenticity!

I wrote about these guys a few weeks back- the food is undeniably delicious, and the wine list is both compelling and affordable.  It’s no wonder Esquire is touting them one of the Best New Restaurants of 2011.

Congratulations All!  Photo of Chefs Steve Samson and Zach Pollack from LA Magazine.

About The Author

I love all things Italian: the beautiful country of Italia, the Italians themselves, the language, the food… and above all, I love Italian wine. The people I meet in my charmed life are fascinating, the wines are extraordinary. I needed a special place like this to write about them, and to remember them.
