Piemonte, I’m coming home.

I have long been seduced and beguiled by the wines of Piemonte.  Nebbiolo, Barbera, Erbaluce, Vespolina.  Foreign sounding words that trip off my tongue like rain.  Now I am on my way to discovering what they feel like when uttered on their own soil.  A return of sorts.  A discovery and an adventure.  My first experience of the hollowed hills of Barolo, Barbaresco, Asti, Alba.

So foreign and yet so familiar.  Piemonte, I’m coming home.

  1. Have an incredible journey. Piemonte is one of my favorite places on earth! (If not my favorite, period!)
There is a small agriturismo just down the road from the town of La Morra on Frazione Annunziata Pozzo called Erbaluna that makes some wonderful Rocche Barolo – but the unsung gem at this place is the marmellata! Some of the best I have ever had!
