Just another reason to love Vermentino di Sardegna in the summer. This “Costamolino” Vermentino is a beautiful little wine from Argiolas. Perfect for summer sipping; cool, refreshing and fruity. There is a pronounced amount of yellow plum and white peaches, puctuated by the trademark salinity of Sardegna’s sunny vineyards. This wine is like potato chips- you can’t have just one… bottle.
It’s getting cool so things are changing, but Argiolas has been the summer Sunday drink of 2012. It gets hot in Alabama, but cheese, crackers, fruit, and summer sausages with this white made my year. I’m not the cheer leading squad type, but if I were, this is the wine.
