Hot weather, short sleeves and beach BBQs. That’s what this amazing little pink sparkling Txakolina Rubentis from Ameztoi is all about. Fresh, fruity and not without a good dose of salinity for balance, this wine is the ultimate summer sipper. I just love the color too- sunset pink with gorgeous, happy bubbles.
The Rubentis is made from 50% Hondarribi Beltza and 50% Hondarribi Zuri grapes- both indigenous and common to Getariako Txakolina. This is a tiny vineyard region on the northern Atlantic coast of Iberia: Basque Country, a region relatively close to Rioja that is making wines which are millions of miles from anything else bottled in Spain.
This is one of the world’s great Rose’s. Love it!
