If you happen to sit at the bar at Mozza in LA, you might catch a glimpse of any number of Los Angeles rock star royalty, movie mavens, or infamous politicians.
If you’re really lucky though, you might bump into dobianchi.com‘s Jeremy Parzen.
When that happens, there’s sure to be a delicious bottle of wine floating around, like this delicious Verdicchio from La Distesa. Unctuous, oily and full of ripe yellow plums, this is a classic expression of Verdicchio di Casteli di Jesi. The wine is elevated by a minerally, steely backbone of vertical acidity. Clearly a masterpiece from a small producer who must be in love with this elegant indigenous grape. Love it!
Good heavens, sister, I LOVE the way you write!
Thanks Jodi! I wish you drank wine too!
And I wish you sold vodka! :^) Love you massively, doll. Smooch!
Joanie, you’re so sweet (and too generous!). And after all, I’m just busy keeping the world safe for Italian wine…
I love our community of wine folks… great to see you… abbraccione j
Thanks Dr. P! It was a pleasure to see you as well.
And for the record, you do an amazing job of keeping those vini autoctoni safe… It’s a bird, it’s a plane…
